You are cordially invited to contribute a Late-Breaking Results poster to IROS 2023. Similar to the Late-Breaking Results posters at previous IROS conferences, the submissions are one page in length with a streamlined acceptance-decision process and presented at the conference venue as posters.
This component of the conference technical program is intended to reach out to the broader robotics research community, and the submissions are not peer-reviewed. Although accepted late-breaking results will be included in the conference digest, since they are not considered publications, they will not be submitted to IEEE for inclusion in the Xplore database.
Prospective poster presenters should submit a one-page abstract by July 15 through the PaperPlaza system: http://ras.papercept.net/conferences/scripts/start.pl. The abstract should include motivation, problem statement, main results, and references.

- What’s the Late-Breaking Results Poster Session about?
This session is to allow as many people as possible to share their work at IROS. The submissions undergo a quick review process and are not held to the same standards as full papers.
- What’s the poster conference format?
Poster sessions will be held in person from Oct 2 through Oct 4. You must bring a printed poster to the venue and give a talk at the designated session time (about an hour). We’ll provide a panel 74” wide x 53” high (~1.8m wide x ~1.3m high) for each poster presentation, so the poster size should fit within the panel size.
- How many authors of each accepted poster present the poster at IROS?
One of the authors of each accepted poster is expected to be present at the poster during the entire session.
- Does the presenter (author) need to register for the conference?
Yes. At least one author of each accepted poster needs to give a talk at the venue with the registration of In-Person On-site Registration fees.

- What are the criteria for accepting Late Breaking Results Poster submissions?
The poster should describe robotics research or applications that will be of interest to the IROS audience. Posters are not formally peer-reviewed, but normal academic integrity and presentation standards apply. References should be given to prior work. Applications papers, including projects in education, are welcome.
- I had a paper rejected from IROS or another conference or journal. Can I submit a poster based on that paper?
Yes.
- I had a paper accepted to IROS or another conference or journal. Can I submit a poster based on that paper?
Yes, however, the poster itself must be unique and not reproduced elsewhere.
- If my poster appears at IROS, can I send a full paper based on the same work elsewhere?
It depends on the publication, so please check with them. A longer paper on the same topic should be acceptable elsewhere. Remember that late-breaking abstracts/posters are not published.
- Can I submit a poster on work in progress?
Yes. We expect that your presentation will be of interest to the IROS audiences.
- Can Late Breaking Results include pictures in the main results section?
