The IROS 2023 Functional Fashion competition invites teams to design and demonstrate robotic clothing that not only performs well but looks good whilst doing so. The aim of the competition is to both demonstrate the possibilities enabled by this new and exciting field and to encourage teams to go beyond the state-of-the-art in terms of comfort, ease of use, performance and fabulousness.

F1TENTH Autonomous Racing is a semi-regular competition organized by an international community of researchers, engineers, and autonomous systems enthusiasts. The teams participating in 13th F1TENTH Grand Prix at IROS 2023 will build a 1:10 scaled autonomous race car according to a given specification and write software for it to fulfill the objectives for the competition: Don’t crash and minimize laptime.

Using balloons as a substrate and basis, we challenge you to develop locomoting and swimming soft robots which exploit their morphology for advantageous behaviours. This aims to explore how soft robots can be rapidly designed and deployed, and different computational, algorithmic or ‘human’ driven ways of designing soft robotic structures. This competition is low-cost, widely accessible and aims to explore the challenge of design and morphological thinking and intelligence.
